Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and at festivals in Europe as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's title is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta, she originates out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan; it was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live set. Her voice was also added to the music of The Fighting Temptations. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to serve as the director of the choir for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine received national attention through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
